February Wishlist - Statement Skirts

(Images sourced from Google)

A few months ago I said that all I wanted to wear in Summer was shift dresses and boots. That hasn't happened, however now all I want to wear is skirts! A statement skirt is so so good; just chuck on a basic top and you are set. Here are some of my must-haves. xx

1. This is Genevieve silver leather skirt - I've seen these pop up here and there on the Internet and I am addicted.
2. Sheike sweet dreams skirt - I don't usually wear skater skirts or trumpet hems, so this is out of my comfort zone, but it's just so damn cute. Still not sure if I should take the plunge. It's got a gorgeous lacy pattern to it too.
3. Aje Catara sequin skirt - oooh everyone knows this one. I want to wear it all dressed up but also with a hoodie and boots too, veryyyy nice.
4. Ksubi paradise skirt - never thought I would but I actually really love this palm print from Ksubi, so naturally I love the skirt version. Common sense, non?

Rainy Turquoise Silk Day

Nicholas skirt, Sportsgirl jumper (old) and YSL ring

I couldn't decide which editing I preferred so you get a bit of both. This is not how I originally wanted to photograph this skirt, but it was raining and I just could not wait any longer. But I actually really love how these photos turned out, non? Anyway finally received this skirt from label Nicholas, and its amazing. I couldn't decide between the pink or turquoise but I definitely chose right in the end. I haven't had a proper occasion to wear it to yet but so far it's been on me during a trip to the post office and to pick up my thai takeaway... You know when you just get excited about pieces and can't wait to wear them? xx

Nicholas

(Images sourced from Greenwithenvy.com.au)

I never pretend to be fashion's biggest expert, I am purely amateur and still learn everyday. So when I come across an amazing new brand, they are usually not new at all. Just new to my eyes. This is what happened when I discovered Australian label Nicholas. The pieces are clean with details that make them wearable and utterly timeless. And boy are there some kickass patterns involved. Definitely keeping Nicholas on my radar. These are just a few of the pieces I adore from the current collection, which can be seen here and alot on sale too. My favourite is the skirt in the last picture which just might be on its way to me now... xx
