Rainy Turquoise Silk Day

Nicholas skirt, Sportsgirl jumper (old) and YSL ring

I couldn't decide which editing I preferred so you get a bit of both. This is not how I originally wanted to photograph this skirt, but it was raining and I just could not wait any longer. But I actually really love how these photos turned out, non? Anyway finally received this skirt from label Nicholas, and its amazing. I couldn't decide between the pink or turquoise but I definitely chose right in the end. I haven't had a proper occasion to wear it to yet but so far it's been on me during a trip to the post office and to pick up my thai takeaway... You know when you just get excited about pieces and can't wait to wear them? xx

Nicholas

(Images sourced from Greenwithenvy.com.au)

I never pretend to be fashion's biggest expert, I am purely amateur and still learn everyday. So when I come across an amazing new brand, they are usually not new at all. Just new to my eyes. This is what happened when I discovered Australian label Nicholas. The pieces are clean with details that make them wearable and utterly timeless. And boy are there some kickass patterns involved. Definitely keeping Nicholas on my radar. These are just a few of the pieces I adore from the current collection, which can be seen here and alot on sale too. My favourite is the skirt in the last picture which just might be on its way to me now... xx

Bertina

Sportsgirl dress and baseball cap & Senso Bertina boots

Finally I get to show you the greatest boot in the world: my white Bertinas! I got these lovelies from John for Christmas and have completely worn them in since (yes I already have scuff marks on them, who said I could look after white boots?) I had been eyeing the black version off for a while but when I saw that they came in white, I knew it had to be. They are so comfy and really make an outfit pop, for example, this all-black ensemble. See what I mean? Definitely the best Christmas present I received. Also I finally succumbed and I got a baseball cap and I'm very happy it was this little spliced number from Sportsgirl. Expect to see a lot more of it. xx

January Wishlist - White Leather

(Images sourced)

For me at the moment, nothing is fresher than white leather. Especially during the Australian summer, white leather just radiates cool. Here are my picks that I long to have in my closet. xx P.s. imagine if I wore all these pieces at once? That would be some inter-galactic shit.

1. Acne leather jacket - the cut is perfect, the details are perfect, everything is just perfect.
2. J Brand leather pants - the super skinny fit makes me think that these will be a good second skin.
3. Senso cadena heels - Aren't these just beautiful? I had such a difficult time deciding between these and my Bertina white boots (will be shown shortly) but I am developing a plan that will ensure these absolute stunners will be mine soon enough. Not long now babies.
4. Alexander Wang Emile bag - the Emile has always been my favourite of all the Wang bags, in white it is especially obsession-worthy.

2013

View from the NYE house party I went to.
Maurie & Eve skirt, Sportsgirl top and Wittner Tanya heels

I'm a little late but Happy New Year everyone! Big plans for this year, big plans. And let's start the year off with some poor quality fireworks photos from the good ole iPhone! But seriously NYE was really good this year, celebrating John's birthday too at a house party overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge which always has the most awe-inducing fireworks. Bringing in the new year with this killer Maurie & Eve skirt (on sale now) that I've had my eye on for a while now. I decided to keep everything simple to really show off its intricate patterning. Ahhh M&E you will always be my favourite. xx
