Neck It

Wearing: Mango blazer, Asos top, Anine Bing jeans and Tony Bianco boots

Never thought I'd enjoy a turtleneck especially a short sleeve one (for one of those days where you have a cold neck but warm arms?) but I have to say this top from Asos is quite lovely. Paired with a pinstripe blazer and skin tight jeans. xx

Skies

Sorry for the absence, I've been studying like a mad woman for a flight test I had today which I passed! Woo! It's one of the best feelings. So I thought it was only fitting to post some shots taken from the skies to see you through Friday and onto the weekend xx

Giraffe

Wearing: Jaggar the Label Totally Wild tee, Misguided skirt, Zara leather jacket and JC heels

One of my absolute favourite purchases this year has been this Jaggar tee. They teased me and made me wait for so long to get my hands on it but as soon as it was available, like the true animal lover that I am, I pounced on it. But boy, was the wait worth it. Kickass giraffe print that is surprisingly very wearable and made from a durable luxe fabric, not to mention the absolute man-repelling boxy shape. I am not one for prints but I feel this baby is going to go the distance. Worn here with my leather faves and new obsession for midi skirts. Thanks Jaggar. xx

Highlight: MAC Cream Colour Base

Recently the idea of "highlighting" one's face has come to my attention. I came across a few articles about highlighter while stalking other blogs and I decided I had to try it. Me being a hardcore MAC fan, of course that was the first place I went. One of their lovely beauticians checked my face out and handed me this miracle pot: Cream Colour Base in Hush.
A warm peachy colour with a hint of shimmer. Apply to the inner corners of eyes, on the brow bone under the eyebrow and under the outer eye, on the bridge of your nose and on the cupids bow. Seriously life changing. For someone who looks perpetually tired it really brightens my eyes up and gets rid of that dull look that winter can sometimes bring to the skin. My new never leave home without product. Go and try some! xx

A Day In Berry

Wearing: Sportsgirl coat, Jaggar giraffe tee, Anine Bing jeans & Jeffrey Campbell boots

Last week my friend and I took a road trip down to Berry for the day to check out the markets. Best thing about the markets is of course the food. We stocked up on supplies and found a meadow (probably someone's backyard) and had ourselves a picnic. One of those idyllic days which we realised we should do more often.

Definitely obsessed with new label Jaggar and pretending to be a giraffe. Short people have these thoughts. xx

Anenome

Wearing: Cotton On mens shirt, Bec & Bridge Anenome skirt and Tony Bianco Tate boots

I've had this skirt for a good six months now but never have had the chance to put it up on the blog, which is somewhat criminal because of; A. it is one of the few non-monochrome pieces I own and B. that floral pattern is kind of stunning. It was my Christmas skirt, meaning every Christmas I buy a new skirt to wear on Christmas Day.
Just quietly how good a mens shirts. Comfortable and functionally. I'm developing quite a collection. xx

Madikwe

Over Easter break, my family and I took a trip to South Africa to see family and to finally go on a safari. It's something that should be on everyone's bucket list and it's an understatement to say that I was just a tad keen to go. We went to Madikwe reserve which is a four hour drive north of Johannesburg. Here are just some of the photos I took on our three day stay. And I'll tell you everytime an animal popped up, I got very snap happy. What's great about Madikwe reserve compared to others is that the rangers are allowed to go off road, so when you're not watching wildlife, you're taking a 4wd rollercoaster ride, which is pretty damn fun. The highlight of the trip was seeing three lions bonding together, they were nudging each other and playing stacks on just like kids, was really something to see. xx

Bringing Me Back

Hello Cyber peoples, I have been very much absent lately. Mainly due to work but also because over Easter I went to South Africa! Pictures to come soon but for now here's something to remind you of warmer months as the weather in Sydney gets ridiculously cold. Wearing Bec & Bridge skirt and my favourite Jeffrey Campbells. xx

Tapestry

Wearing: Keepsake Tapestry shorts, Sportsgirl cami and Tony Bianco Tate boots

Keeping it simple but interesting this weekend with this post. As you all know I'm a hardcore monochrome fan and the only pattern I'll ever touch is usually a muted floral, but even I couldn't let this gorgeous tapestry pattern from Keepsake the Label pass me by. Navy and gold what an awesome combination - and one I should do more often - blended into perfect winter shorts. Showing off my new winter boots too, definitely making easing into the cooler months a little easier. Have a great weekend :) xx
